The Best WordPress Plugins

If you’re an online marketer or blogger and you’re using a WordPress website, you’re going to learn about 12 plugins that you simply must have.

1. What is a plugin?

A plug-in is a small program or combination of programs that sits on top of a WordPress installation. Their job is to increase the functionality of your website.

Plug-ins allow your blog or website to have more features and do more than it could when you first installed it. Most plug-ins are written in the PHP scripting language, but you don’t have to know how to program in order to use them as you’ll see.

There are over 28,800 free WordPress plugins available online at WordPress.org.  Premium plugins that are geared towards helping you make money are for sale all over the internet, as well. They’re considered Premium due to the added value above and beyond what you’re able to get from the free WordPress plugins available.

They perform a great number of activities and doubt if one can have a functional website without plugins.

  7. Solid list! Looks like I’m using most of the suggested ones for each respective field/purpose but how fast the Socialbox plugin works when compared to the competition?

I’ve been using Grow Social by Mediavine and read that it’s the fastest/most lightweight social media plugin right now.

From your experience, is Socialbox lightweight enough for a blog site?

    1. Hi Julius,

Thank you for your comment. IT’s great that you found this a solid article.

I would say Socialbox is lighweight enough for a blog site yes. You just need to try it out and see for yourself.

      Tom

  8. Hey Tom,
Thanks for this great list of plugins. Almost all of them I have not heard about.
I’ve been using Grow Social by Mediavine and the 3 social plugins you present look interesting. Do you prefer Convert Pro over forms or integrations with autoresponders?
    What autoresponder do you use?
    Thanks in advance, John

    1. Hi John,

Thank you for your comment. It’s great that you found this a new list and hopefully can help you.

I use Mailchimo as an autoresponder, that really helps me. ConvertPro does help me too, but any of these plugins are just as helpful. Test them out for yourself and see what plugins work best for you.

Keep returning, keep engaging and keep leading.

      All the best,

      Tom
